Great Backyard Bird Count? Today was my first time to participate … did you know about this activity?

For 15 mins Sat Feb 17 and Sat Feb 18 (2 remaining days) count the birds you see and then go to the website or mail them in, if you'd prefer, to report your numbers. The website has a worksheet and a down-load to help. This takes only your time. Anyone and everyone can participate, alone or with others. Great activity to do with the kids and teach them about wildlife and conservation. If you enjoy birds, this is a chance for you to help scientist track the birds across North America. Happy Birding!Have you heard of this? Would you be interested or did you participate? Do you know someone you can share this information with?

Yes I did. I also submitted to http://www.ebird.org which has a public database showing where birds are year round.
